What are the natural ecological treatment methods for sewage treatment? Natural ecological treatment technologies that can effectively treat sewage can be divided into four categories:


Dingtang sewage stabilization: Dingtang sewage stabilization uses microorganisms and lower animals and plants to treat sewage, so biological members are the main treatment mechanism. The presence of algae will affect the treatment efficiency and water quality of most sewage stabilizing pond systems. Although it should be beneficial for algae to produce oxygen through photosynthesis to meet the needs of living members in the pond, it is difficult to control the massive growth of algae, which often results in excessive suspended solids in the discharged water. Stabilizing the pond is quite effective in removing organic matter, nitrogenous substances and pathogenic bacteria, but the removal efficiency of phosphorus is not high, which may cause peculiar smell and mosquito breeding.

Aquatic biological treatment: This method uses microorganisms and higher animals and plants to treat sewage, so biological members are also the main treatment mechanism. Among them, due to the shading effect of plant leaves, the lotus pond inhibits the growth of algae, and the suspended solids in the water after treatment are significantly lower than that of the stable Dingtang. In addition, there are treatment systems that use aquatic animals or aquaculture. This method not only achieves the purpose of sewage treatment, but also focuses on the recovery of useful nutrients in the sewage and transforms it into the harvest of economically valuable aquaculture animals or plants.


Wetland treatment method: Wetland refers to the land where the surface is flooded with water, the soil is saturated and moist, and plants grow for a long time every year. Wetlands have the function of purifying water quality as early as more than 100 years ago. Wetlands used for sewage treatment include: existing natural wetlands, swamps, depressions, swamps and coasts, as well as artificial wetlands built by people for sewage treatment. When an anti-seepage layer is installed in the constructed wetland, there is no special requirement for controlling the quality of the influent water, and the flow characteristics of the system can be controlled, so its operating efficiency is more reliable than that of the natural wetland. There are two basic types of commonly used constructed wetlands, including free surface (FWS) and subsurface flow (SSF). The former is similar to natural wetlands or swamps, because the water surface is in contact with the atmospheric environment; the latter is a medium through which water can flow (such as gravel), and the water keeps flowing under the gravel bed, which is equivalent to a biological filter with plants but no aeration. Land treatment methods: This technology mainly relies on the physical, chemical and biological effects that occur in the interstices of the soil. Among them, the slow infiltration rate method and the surface overflow method require plants as the main processing members. The slow osmosis method uses a wide variety of plants, from trees to pastures, and even vegetable crops. Perennial gramineous plants are often used for ground overflow patterns. Another land treatment method is called rapid infiltration method, because the hydraulic load is too high to provide plant growth. In the early days, people used natural sewage treatment methods because the resources in sewage (such as nitrogen and phosphorus nutrients, minerals and organic matter) can be recycled and reused, and crops or aquaculture products can be harvested in the field. This is an environmentally compatible technology. .
